Prof. T M Mohapatra's journey in the medical field has been multifaceted, covering roles such as Director, Dean, HOD Microbiology, CMS, OSD(P&D), and ICMR Emeritus Med. Scientist at BHU. His leadership extended to Principal at HIMS, Varanasi, and Pro VC at KIIT University, Bhubaneswar. Prof. Mohapatra's areas of specialization include Medical Microbiology, Hospital infection, Tropical Parasitic Diseases, and Hospital Administration, coupled with expertise in Development & Planning for Newer Facilities.

His excellence has been acknowledged globally, with memberships in prestigious organizations like the National Board of Directors for Malaria Research, Commonwealth Medical Awards, and Fellow of the Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (U.K.). Prof. Mohapatra's commitment to education is evident in his extensive teaching experience of 47 years at the postgraduate and 50 years at the undergraduate level. His research spans five decades, during which he has guided numerous students in MD/MS and Ph.D. programs, producing over 60 MD/MS and more than 28 Ph.D. scholars. With a total of 200 publications, including international papers, chapters in books, and abstracts, Prof. Mohapatra's impact on the academic landscape is profound.
